Places to eat in Manchester on Valentine's Day

February the 14th is coming up and if you are looking for a meal for two I've road tested places in Manchester that would be perfect for Valentine's Day!

Mr Cooper.'s

Located inside The Midland Hotel, Mr Cooper's will be serving up world class food and carfeully curated award-winning cocktails all week-long from the 9th to the 18th of February. I have visited this restaurant myself and can say they have the most delicious and fresh food - my palette was hit with a bit of sweet, spice, cold and hot - it was the perfect mix.

This valentine's menu has exotic treats like Spanish Olives, Ratte Potatoes and Fresh Mussels on the same tantalising three course menu as Goosnargh Duck Breast and Yorkshire Rhubarb. You can even add an extra spice with the Lola cocktail - this sounds right up my street as it is based on the flavour affinity of passion fruit, coconut and caramel. Couples can also share desserts like the Marbled Chocolate Brown and Pistachio Ice Cream with Goodnight Sweetheart (a specially made chocolate and orange cocktail - mmmm!)

Shoryu Ramen

The first Shoryu branch outside of London, if you're a fan of Japenese food you will love this restaurant! And from the 12th - 16th of February they will have a Valentine's Day offer for £24 which gives guests the chance to choose from two delicious courses and a complimentary glass of prosecco on arrival.

Shoryu are serving the Shoryu Bun - either Char Siu Barbeque Pork Belly or Halloumi and Shimeji Mushrooms (that's what I will be going for!). The main course will be the signature ramen with the option of White Natural; a unique blend of tony soy milk, miso, konbu, shiitake broth, atsuage fried tofu, kikurage mushrooms, spring onion, menma bamboo shoots and nori seaweed as a vegetarian/vegan alternative.

My favourite part - the dessert! You can choose between the cream Matcha/Yuzu Cheesecake or Matcha Sundae. I love both of these so that's a hard decision to make!

Yep, that say's Greggs. The branch on Mosley's Street in Manchester will be joining in with the Valentine's Day celebrations. For one night only, Greggs will be offering table service with a more special scenery - a candle light dinner with classical music.

The menu includes Gregg's classics and then a new poshed-up range like Katsu Tortilla Wraps, Miniature Doughnuts with Rich Butterscotch Dipping Sauce and Raspberry & Almond Bites. If you're a big fan of the sausage rolls and pasty's. This surely will be a night to remember. Don't forget to book a table!

If you're looking to eat but also do something fun. The Botanist have aValentine's cocktail masterclass on the 14th of Feb. Complete your Valentine's experience with a table side mini cocktail masterclass for two! You can book the masterclass on their website.

You can also enjoy their wide range of foods including some of my favourite's like the Fish and Chips from the home comforts menu. Or their famous hanging kebabs - halloumi and sesame felafel or salt and pepper pork - which one would you go for?

Not to mention their wide range of cocktails and their special Valenetine's Day Cocktail 'Let Love Begin' which is a light fruit blend of Pinkster Gin and black raspberry Liqueur. Rose and strawberry notes making a deliciously romantic mix!
