GOALS FOR 2016

So whilst looking back on my personal goals from last year I realised I accomplished and ticked off 13/20 of them - which to me, is pretty impressive! The fact that I was able to achieve over a half of them seriously made me smile and realise that 2015 was a good year for me! It may have had it's ups and downs but I will always focus on the positives! I decided to do a more personal post today, sharing some of my goals for 2016 and just having a chat...
At the beginning of this year, if you would have asked me if I was going to a bloggers event, I probably would have laughed at how ridiculous it was. It was one of my goals to achieve by the end of 2015 so I could begin to meet new bloggers, talk to the people I work with face-to-face rather than email and just learn a bit more about the blogging world. Little did I know that in February I was going to tick off my first goal by attending the Quiz Clothing Valentines Event - I admit I was a completely frightened 16 year old who squealed as I left my Mum outside the Manchester store, but I'm so glad I pushed myself to do it as this year I've had multiple amazing opportunities that I still can't get over! Including meeting Alexa Chung, who said she liked my outfit *fangirls*.

Another blogging goal I had was to buy a new camera and some studio lights - this way I can take those picture-perfect OOTD's in the grim Manchester weather and look like it was in the middle of Summer. I ticked off both of these by saving my own money to buy a Canon - I'm going to try and improve my photography skills more this year and learn the ins-and-outs of a DSLR. I also got a ring light this Christmas from my parents which can be the start of my photography equipment! I'm so excited to film some new YouTube videos with these.

1 // IMPROVE MY WRITING SKILLS - I make sure I get my Mum to proof read before publishing a blog post so she can pick out all of my terrible mistakes which seemed to have increased this year! Some times I find that after spending so long in education studying English Language that I end up writing my blog posts like an essay for school. This year I would like to make my posts more chatty with some personality and not too formal. I'm going to try using my '642 things to write about' book - I got it last year and I still haven't used it!

2 // GO OUT MORE - Many of times I have turned down an invitation to a party or gathering or meal purely because I'd rather be sat at home watching Teen Wolf or just didn't feel comfortable going. This year it is my goal to get our more often, make plans, find new places and just have fun! I admit being shy does hold me back but I'm going to get out of my comfort zone so I can get rid of this shyness completely!

3 // STAY POSITIVE & HAPPY - Over the years I have found that some people just don't understand blogging. I get teased a lot for writing a blog, having a theme on Instagram or filming videos for YouTube which started to shatter my confidence and make me feel uncomfortable doing something I enjoy. This year, I'm going to completely blank out these people in my life because I really can't be bothered with their negativity!! I vouch that this year I WILL NOT delete a post because someone at college made a unnecessary comment about it. I mean they're reading/watching it so they must be a fan of it? ;)

4 // LEARN HOW TO DRIVE, GET A JOB, GET IN THE UNI I WANT TO GO TO - I'm turning 18 this year and feel like I need to sort my life out! That's my goal for this year :-)

I could have wrote a whole book, but I think this is enough! What is one of your goals for this year?
